About

The only product we make that has to fit inside something else.

Customized Bookmarks makes bookmarks to order — printed card with the caliper stated, magnetic fold-overs, tasselled cards on reinforced eyelets, debossed leather, photo-etched brass, and die-cut shapes and rulers.

Custom printed bookmarks with logo

A bookmark spends almost all of its life inside a closed book. That single fact decides the specification, and it is the one thing nobody publishes.

Too thick and it wedges the pages apart, splays the spine and eventually cracks the binding — which is how a nice leather bookmark quietly ruins a nice book. Too thin and it creases the first time somebody shuts the book on it.

So we quote board in microns and metal in gauge, and we ask whether the bookmarks are for paperbacks or hardbacks before recommending either. It is a two-minute question that most of this trade never asks.

Why we exist

Bookmarks are the cheapest thing a bookshop, library or museum gives away, so they are specified by nobody and quoted as premium card with no number attached.

The results are predictable: square corners that go soft in a bag, tassels that tear out of a bare punched hole, laminated stock in a library where somebody wanted to pencil a return date, and a lovely leather strap thick enough to damage the book it lives in.

What we actually make

Printed card with the caliper on the quote, rounded corners as standard, and a choice of laminate or uncoated depending on whether people will write on them. Magnetic fold-overs that clip a page, with the magnet grip tuned so it holds without embossing thin paper. Tasselled and ribboned cards hung from a metal eyelet rather than a bare hole. Full-grain and faux leather, blind debossed or foiled, in a thinner temper with skived edges. Photo-etched brass and stainless with cut-through detail, rounded and deburred so they cannot score a page. And die-cut shapes and bookmark rulers with the scale calibrated against the finished trim rather than the artwork.

Dies are held on file, so a reorder of a shape costs no tooling.

How we price

No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with material, board weight, finish, decoration and quantity, and it falls steeply into the thousands. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one.

On the small details that decide it

Rounded corners rather than square. A metal eyelet rather than a punched hole. A deburred etched edge. A ruler calibrated after trimming, not before.

Each of those costs almost nothing and each is the difference between a bookmark that is still in the book a year later and one that was thrown away in week two.
